Hello and welcome everyone!
My name is Ori Gellman. I am an animator currently living in Los Angeles, CA.
I started early as a kid drawing lots of cartoons after being inspired by Disney animated films and other Warner Bros cartoons. Some of my favorite include: Looney Tunes, Batman: The Animated Series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Hunchback of Ntre Dame, Iron Giant and many more.
After High School I attended School of Visual Arts where I majored in Computer Art and focused more on character animation after completing my Senior Thesis. 2012 was the year I first started working in the animation industry by working in smaller studios and then later moving onto bigger studios.
From all the places I've worked at, I've learned new things both artistically and professionally. For me animation is all about telling a story that speaks truth and connects to the audience on a personal level. As a an animator with nearly 10 years of professional experience in the AAA video game industry, I find myself constantly learning new things and I strongly feel that self motivation plays a large role in order to succeed in this industry.
My goal for this blog is to show my work for public viewing and to improve over time. Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to come back and check on me as I constantly update my work!
